The real mistake of MJ by Arturo Sepúlveda Ayala

I think Michael Jackson is one of the persons that redefined the concept of music and he became an idol for many people in the world. His talent, not only in his voice but in his feet, is incomparable and unique and nobody would reject having the half of his money and fame. However, it is sad how his life ended up.

He reached and exceeded the limit of changing his appearence. I think it is not bad trying to look good because it’s not only about what the people think of you but this is linked with psychological issues too. If you look well you feel more confident and motivated to do any activity. Now, imagine the context of an actor or musician where those people definitely have to care about their image.

He became obsessed with things like the skin’s color and his face that he forgot about what he used to do and that is the worse thing of all. Besides, the surgeries evolved in a strange way making him look bad. The truth is he looked better the way he was before those cosmetic surgeries.

Anyway, we have no right to judge him. Surely this matter was really important to him and he had his own reasons for doing what he did. However it is a shame he wasn’t able to realize that what makes people shining are the things they do and he was brilliant as a musician and dancer. In my opinion, a person like him doesn’t need anything else to gain respect and admiration. Unfortunately, we live in a world where the appeareance is an important factor to consider when forming an idea about a person.

WHAT IF PEOPLE WERE LESS HYPOCRITE!?

What if people were less hypocrite!?

Everybody says that people who do the kind of things like M. Jackson, it’s because they have low self-esteem.

It’s not bad that people want to feel better. Everyone of us, for example, wears clothes to look “well”, everyone use body or facial creams to take care our skin, women make up herself, etc.

I think that this is something natural. We, as the animals we are, use some kind of “mating ritual” but in our case it’s something more complex. This is the background of the topic.

But the basic or main idea is that there is nothing bad in trying to look “well”. Here we have another problem, stereotypes. We said that society creates stereotypes, and they are bad for all people. Who is society? Ourselves. So if we said that society creates stereotypes, we need to interpret it as if we were saying that. That’s the only truth.

If we do things to look well or feel more comfortable with us (that’s what self-esteem about) there is nothing wrong that people want to change they appearance in order to be more comfortable with themselves. If we do things for changing things that we don’t like or that create us problems (like in our personality, be more patient, talkative, etc.) why not change things in our physical appearance to feel better.
…About Michael Jackson…

The Michael Jackson’s live is so interesting, because he is one of the most popular singer on the World.

At first he began to grow up in his career when he was just a child, I think he never be a normal child because he was under the pressure of the ‘popularity’ instead of play with another children. The main problem was his parents. Maybe if he grew up like the others, he would never be in the troubles that he is today.

In the other hand, I could see that his father was the main support to make them be in the eye of the people, he took care about his sons, and make them be united at the beginning. For him, I think the notice that his sons were popular, made him feel so excited and proud about them.

When Jackson decide to continue alone his career, he gets right because he was like a phenomenon of the music. I think that all generations know what ‘thriller’ means or who sang it. In Halloween’s parties we can see that many people use the typical zombie dresses, inspired in this Film.
In this Film, we can see the ‘normal’ or the ‘real’ Michael Jackson, because some years later began the transformation.

One song that I like is ‘Heal the World’. In this song I can remember that Michael Jackson’s skin was white!! I was a child and I can’t believe that some day he wasn’t with this color of skin. Then with the pass of the years, he began to change his nose, his face… many parts of his body, and I understood that he was a ‘plastic man’.

I don’t know why he tried to change, I think that the people don’t pay attention if he was ‘black’ or if he was ‘white’, I think that the most important thing is the talent of the people, because he had changed, but know he is like a monster. That is a problem and if we remember every thing that people said of him, the ‘Popular and Talented’ Michael Jackson is just in the past.

Surgeries for me, are not good, because they finish with the real person that you are, some of them help people with their selfesteem, but I think that we just have to know how to love us.

The dark side of Michael Jackson by Gilma Ivonne Cortes Araiza

As we could read in the text the life of Michael Jackdon is a very strange life, It could be like a currency, from one side is a history of achievements and in the other side a history of suffering and lonelyness. I think one of the problems that he had had is that he had a father with a very strong discipline and It could be a history of abuse by him.

He did a lot of things to try to get out of that lonelyness, for example he had married with two different woman and try to have a family. But he couldn´t for his carrier and his strange stile of life.

For this reasons he searched for another way to overcome the problems and I think he found one when he had the accident during filming for a PEPSI commercial, Michael’s scalp was badly burnt, requiring skin grafts, since this happen Michael Jackson began to be obsessed with cosmetic surgery. This are the cronology of this cosmetic surgery:
1.-In 1979 he reduced his nose, redraw his eyebrows and a permanent delineated on his eyes.
2.-In 1987 he did a jaw and chin implant. And began the decoloration of his skin.
3.-In 1991 he tatu the colour of his lips, his skin look very white than normal, and his nose are smaller and thin. And at the end of this year the nose of Michael Jackson It couldn´t be human.
I think all of the thinks that he did it to look better are unecessary because he was handsome like it been, but he do that because they has a complex with his skin colour and with his physical appearance. I think that the people that do that didn´t have the necessary self-esteem to love and accept themselves and I´m quite sure that If someone really loves you They must love you as you are. If they don´t do that you should search another person instead of change your pesonality or your appearance.

Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Ind., on Aug. 29, 1958. Michael was the fifth son born to steelworker Joe Jackson, who quickly started organizing his sons into a singing group he dubbed the Jackson 5.

From a young age, Michael’s childhood was fairly sheltered and rigid due to his mother’s strong religious faith and his father’s often strict discipline. By age 6, Michael was performing in his family’s group and already establishing himself as an exceptional entertainer.

In 1968, the Jackson 5 members signed to Motown and issued their first single in 1969, when Michael was only 11.

In 1970, the group had four No. 1 hits: "I Want You Back," "ABC," "The Love You Save" and "I’ll Be There." This made the Jackson 5 the first pop group in history to have its first four singles reach No. 1.

In 1971, Michael released his first solo recording, "Got to Be There," which hit the top five. In 1972 his first solo single, "Ben," reached No. 1.

In 1975, Michael released his final album on the Motown label, and a year later he and his brothers (except for Jermaine) were signed to Epic as "The Jacksons."

In 1977, Michael won the part of the Scarecrow "The Wiz," all-black film retelling of "The Wizard of Oz." It was on the set that he met producer/composer Quincy Jones.

When Jackson’s contract with his father expired, he opted to embark on a solo career again (though he still remained a member of the Jacksons), and Jones became his producer. His first adult solo album was entitled "Off the Wall," and it produced four Top 10 singles and went platinum.

In 1982, "Thriller" was produced, making history. It sold 26 million copies in the United States, 60 million worldwide and stayed on the Billboard charts for 122 weeks.

In 1983, during Motown’s 28th anniversary special, Michael did the Moonwalk for the first time on television. Seven of the nine tracks on "Thriller" wound up in the Top 10.

Michael swept the Grammy Awards in 1984, taking home a record eight in one night. He also won the largest endorsement deal ever by becoming the spokesman for Pepsi. During filming for a Pepsi commercial in 1984, Michael’s scalp was badly burnt, requiring skin grafts.

In 1985, he co-wrote the famine-relief single "We Are the World," which became one of the fastest-selling singles ever.

That same year, Michael purchased the majority of shares in ATV Music Publishing Co., the organization which owned the rights to most of the Beatles’ songs.

It was around this time that strange rumors began to fly about Michael’s private life. After tabloids reported that Michael slept in a hyperbaric chamber in order to slow aging and that he had bought the skeleton of the Elephant Man (which he hadn’t), he was given the nickname "Wacko Jacko" by the media, which he hated.

Michael’s skin also started getting lighter and there were accusations that he was intentionally undergoing treatment to make himself whiter.

Soon Jackson reported to the media that he had a disorder called vitiligo, where pigment disappears from the skin, leaving white blotches and making sunlight exposure dangerous.

He also underwent some plastic surgery, though there were conflicting reports as to how much, and his face began to change noticeably.

It was at this time that Michael adopted his pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, and began to build a giant amusement park at Neverland Ranch, further fueling public perception of his eccentricity.

In 1987, Michael teamed with George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola to star in the 3-D film "Captain EO." The film only lasted 17 minutes but cost millions and was shown in IMax theaters at Disney amusement parks for years.

Later that year Michael released "Bad," his follow-up to "Thriller." This was his last album produced with Quincy Jones. The album debuted at No. 1, was the first album to produce five No. 1 singles and sold 29 million copies.

Michael went on a world tour to support the album, and it became the highest-grossing tour of all time. Soon he was dubbed "The King of Pop."

Later in 1991, Michael released his next album, "Dangerous." It debuted at No. 1 and sold 29 million copies worldwide. Its lead single, "Black or White," caused controversy as the video had scenes considered violent and sexual (including Michael grabbing his crotch) and was banned from most music-television channels until several scenes were edited out.

In 1992, Michael founded the "Heal the World Foundation," a charity that brought underprivileged children to Neverland Ranch where Michael would spend time with them and allow them to spend the night.

This practice raised many eyebrows, especially when Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy who had become a regular Neverland guest. Jackson responded to the allegations publicly, maintaining his innocence. In 1994, he settled the case out of court for an undisclosed amount.

Later that year, Michael married the daughter of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie. The union was publicly scrutinized and speculations arose as to whether the marriage was simply an attempt to improve Jackson’s image, though he maintained that they lived genuinely as man and wife; however, the marriage broke up after less than two years.

In 1995, Jackson tried to turn the focus back to his music, releasing "HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book 1." This was a two-CD set featuring his greatest hits and some new material, and it debuted at No. 1. The album’s lead single was "Scream," a duet with sister Janet Jackson, which won several Billboard Music Awards.

Michael then embarked on a world tour for the album, and while in Australia he married his dermatologist’s nurse, Debbie Jeanne Rowe, with whom he fathered a son named after himself (though he goes by the name "Prince" publicly) and a daughter, Paris Katherine.

Rowe and Jackson divorced in 1999, and Rowe told the media that Michael had wanted her to have the children as a "gift" to him.

In 2001, Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and had a huge concert at Madison Square Garden celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of his first solo album.

Later that year, he released the album "Invincible" on Sony Records and informed Sony Music head Tommy Mottola that he wasn’t going to renew his contract.

Then, Sony and Jackson got into a press battle, and Jackson publicly defamed Mottola, calling him "devilish" and racist, although many Sony artists came forward to defend Mottola.

In 2002, Jackson traveled to Berlin to accept the BAMBI award for his musical accomplishments. While in his hotel, fans swarmed outside and called to Jackson, clamoring to see his new baby, Prince Michael II.

Jackson then brought the baby to the balcony with a towel over his head (presumably to protect his identity), and held him over the railing to show the crowd. This incident was perceived by some to be child endangerment, and while Jackson apologized the next day, it helped to further fuel the public image that Jackson was having problems.

In 2003 journalist Martin Bashir filmed a highly touted documentary based on extensive interviews with Michael entitled "Living With Michael Jackson." The documentary was shown internationally and depicted some controversial scenes, including Michael holding hands with a 13-year-old cancer victim and admitting to non-sexually sharing his bed with children.

Jackson was angry and thought the film was inaccurate, so he fought back and released his own documentary, which included scenes cut from Bashir’s that showed Michael’s full explanations for some of his past behavior.

Later that year, Michael and Sony released a compilation of his hits, "Number Ones." It sold more than 6 million copies worldwide.

While Michael was on the set, the police raided Neverland Ranch issuing an arrest warrant for charges of child molestation by the same boy who appeared in Bashir’s documentary.

A trial took place in 2005, and Jackson was acquitted of all charges. After his acquittal, Michael relocated to the Gulf Island of Bahrain, where he has reportedly been spending his time writing new music.

In 2004, a man filed a lawsuit against Michael, alleging he had been molested 20 years earlier but had repressed the memory until 2003. However, a judge eventually dismissed the lawsuit.

The guide carried us into the forest at 5 o´clock in the afternoon and when we arrived at the place that we are going to camp the guide said us I got go because the place had a lot of mist and at more or less 7 o´clock you couldn´t see anything, but the strange thing is that the guide said us If we are sure to stay here at night, and we almost say yes, Why not? but the guide didn´t say anything.

At 12 o´clock in the night my cousin and me woke up because we listened steps outside of the tent, we thought that it colud be another campers or an animal but then we became scary because we listened like a kind of moans likely of a woman at the same time his girlfriend and hes sister woke up we are very frightening, it was horrible. Then the moans stoped and we return to sleep.

The other day we are very tired and frightening but my cousin said that it could be a montain cat and we tried to convince our selves that it coldn´t be anithing else. We went downt at the river but I felt down with a rock and I became wet so I decided to came back to the camp.

When I arrived I decided to make a campfirea and at the moment of I had doing that I could feel and listented the steps like someone are walked back of me . I turned my head but I couldn´t saw anything. After that I decided to go to another place. I was very scare. So we came back to the guide office and he asked why did you came back so early? and we told him about the strange things and he told us about the story of a woman that drawning here, he thought that we known about the story. We are very angry with the guide but more frightening.

A Frightening Story by Arturo Sepúlveda Ayala

I'm going to to tell a story that I heard of one of my friends. Actually we don´t know if it´s true or just a tale.
One night of Halloween, in order to get some fun, a group of teenagers played the ouija. The night was cold and the air had a strange smell. They were in one of the boys’ house and his family had an old ouija which had belong to his great-grandmother. This woman had already dead by the time the boy was born so he never met her. The boy said he wanted to talk with her and that is the reason why he was playing this weird game.

The play began between laughters but this boy was really serious and concentrated. Suddenly a lightning fell and the whole dark room got illuminated and then the thunder made them tremble. All was quiet. The needle started to move and they asked who was moving it but nobody answered.

The needle moved without stoping, from one side to another, with no word pattern. It stopped and slowly formed the next words: “I´m coming for you”.

Somebody knocked the door but anyone wanted to open, they just heard the voice from a person outside: it was a woman who was in the corridor asking to enter. The door was locked but it seemed this woman was about to crash it. She was screaming like a crazy person so they pushed the sofa to keep the room locked. She didn´t stop to scream very loudly and the boy could hear her saying his name.

Then he realized she was his great-grandmother. He knew it but he couldn´t explain why.

He really wanted to open the door. He wished to see her but his friends managed to stop him. The noise was over but in that moment the girl of the group had a fit of hysterics. They tried to console her but with a strong and low voice she said “don´t come” . They were shocked.

The outside woman´s voice said ” I told you and you didn´t want to listen, now you will die” The girl started to move very abrubt and she said she would kill them. They tried to open the door but they couldn´t. The boy got out but the rest of the group didn´t. He heard his friend´s horrifying screams asking for help and kicking the door.

He wrote this history 45 years later. He has just went out of prission accused of killing his friends, which he found them died when he opened his room´s door.

"the raises of dead people"

What “se me subió el muerto” means?

I will try to explain what is that.

Sometimes when you are sleeping you open your eyes and you feel like if you were trapped in a nightmare; you see your worst fears appears and you can only move your eyes. Your arms and hands can’t be moved to get away the phantoms or whatever you see around you.

You can imagine yourself awake at midnight seeing that the radio and the television are turned on and you are listening to some voices and screams of kids in your room.

I´m talking about this in my own experience..jeje..

You can’t escape, you can’t scream or talk. Your body does not answer you.

Some doctors explains this phenomenon saying that some parts of the brain stop working and only the part that control your eyes is working. This sometimes happens because of not having slept well or sufficient.

Mysteries that have happened in my life!!

I have three stories that I can share with you:

1. In my house there is a bedroom where my sister used to sleep. Some years ago, when my cousins stayed in my home, they slept in that bedroom. The next day, they said that they had a headache or that they felt dizzy and they couldn’t sleep.
One day my mom slept in that bedroom and she dreamt with a woman who wanted to make my mom pray for her.
The next day my mom told that to a neighbour. She told her that she dreamt with a woman and she gave her the characteristics of the woman. My neighbour was surprised, because she said that the last owners of our house were an old woman and her husband, her daughter lived with them, but she died. She used to sleep in that bedroom.
After this event, my mom began to pray for that woman, and nowadays there is no problem in that bedroom.

2. One day when I was a child I had the terrible notice that my nephew died 5 months after he was born. The family was in shock.
In my house, there is a tricycle, so, some days after that, my dog was barking and when we went to see what happened, we saw that the tricycle had been moved, we never knew why the tricycle had moved.

3. The last story, I had a mirror in my house where if I was in the kitchen I could see who entered into the house. One day I was in the kitchen with my mom when I heard someone entering into the house, I though that it could be my sister, but when I saw the mirror I saw the door opened and a big white light. When I came to the door, the door was closed at the same time. Two weeks after my dog was dead. :’(

Global Warming

Global Warming is a problem that affects the Earth, but what are humans doing about it? This is a question that makes us hesitate, because we can see that there are a few people that try to save the planet, but what about the rest? Some people are just looking after their own interest, they want a ‘perfect’ place to live, and they don’t care about the other living creatures.

But what does global warming mean? In the video we can see that it is a problem that increases the global temperature.
Some causes could be changes in solar luminosity, volcanic eruptions and atmosphere greenhouse gas concentration. But humans are guilty too.

In Panamá a solution has been taken, it was to sow a million trees. It is a good idea. In China some people had been trying to make stop the global warming, too.
Every human can help the planet. How? There are many things we can do, maybe we can’t go back to the last centuries but we can stop some problems in the world that can be related to the global warming. One of the things that we can do is not to use too much energy. We can use public transportations instead of using the car, and with that, we save the planet from pollution. Another thing is to recycle paper, glass… we can be the heroes of our own place. We can give the children a different education were they are made conscious about the danger that suffers our planet.

Global warming video comment

The information below exposes a terrible reality wich is not too far from us. And worst of all is that the reason for this global warming is the human being himself. We are turning a blind eye on all of these changes because we are not able to realize that if we don´t take care of it, the life in the Earth will never be the same (for example some animal species could dissapear, including us). Future is technology, so the world revolves around production and consumption of energy(gasoline, electricity, etc) but we are not doing it to make good use of that. It is amazing that the Earth's temperature will increase about 2 to 10°F by the end of this century, according to the video. I think it is time to awaken ourselves and to know this has not to be just like that and we have to realize that we can make this doom change only if all of us attend to this problem.
