Global Warming
What exactly is warming? Global warming is when amount of carbon dioxide increases in the atmosphere which causes an average on the surface temperature of earth to increase.
This leads to a curious question: why the carbon dioxide is increasing in our world? Carbon dioxide in our atmosphere increases when we burn fossil fuels which include coal, oil, and gas for electricity, transportation, and heat.
Additionally, cutting down forests and other industrial processes cause atmospheric carbon dioxide to increase.
But the principal problem is that the earth’s climate is being directly affected by human activity, and of course the damage is for all us. It’s very important to say that all these changes having devastating effects like extreme hurricanes, storms, rain in deserts.
If we don’t make a very clearly conscience about this, we would have more droughts and wildfires, also million of natural species worldwide could be driven to extinction. This is real and it affects all of us regardless of religion, race, citizenship, political party or income level.
Can we do something to help stop global warming? I’ll give you some tips:
Replace a regular light bulb to a fluorescent light bulb.
Drive less, walk, bike, carpool or use public transportation…enjoy the environment!!
Recycle.
Separate garbage.
Use less hot water (it takes a lot of energy to heat water).
Plant trees and care green areas.
The time to take action is now, we can make a difference!!!
